Denise O’Reilly

Experience

Denise is O’Reilly Workplace Law’s principal lawyer and has over a decade’s experience advising and representing employers on all aspects of employment law. She has worked closely with all kinds of businesses in managing employee related issues – ranging from Gold Coast based small and medium businesses, through to ASX 100 companies. This experience ranges from advising on compliance with minimum awards and entitlements, to representing employers in Supreme Court breach of contract claims, to advising on high level industrial disputes.

Denise’s experience in this field is unique given her nearly 8 years working in Australia’s leading employment law firm, and her experience practicing in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania. Denise has also worked on secondment as part of Human Resources teams, including in the oil and gas industry.

This experience has given Denise a unique understanding not only of the differing laws that apply across different Australian jurisdictions, but also the different types of employment related issues that arise for businesses of all shapes and sizes.

Denise focuses on providing clients with tailored, practical advice and commercial solutions.

Qualifications

Denise graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2001 with a Combined Bachelor of Arts and Laws (Hons).  Denise was admitted as Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria in March 2003 after completing articles at Freehills Melbourne.
